This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how refunds and cancellations are handled for transactions made through our platform. By using our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Middlesman operates as a secure escrow and payment protection service. All payments made through our platform are held safely in escrow until both the buyer and seller have fulfilled their agreed obligations.
Once a transaction begins, the funds are securely held in an escrow account.
Funds are only released to the seller after the buyer confirms successful completion of the transaction or delivery of the product/service.
If the buyer does not approve within the agreed timeframe, Middlesman may automatically release funds after verification.
Buyers may request a cancellation of a transaction before funds are released to the seller.
Cancellations can only be initiated if both parties agree, or if the seller fails to fulfill the transaction within the agreed period.
Upon approval, Middlesman will refund the buyer’s payment (excluding any applicable transaction or service fees).
Refunds are only possible under the following conditions:
The seller fails to deliver the promised goods or services.
The buyer cancels the transaction before escrow release.
A dispute is resolved in favor of the buyer after review by the Middlesman dispute team.
Refunds are not applicable once funds have been successfully released to the seller.
Platform service fees, payment gateway charges, and escrow management fees are non-refundable once a transaction has started.
Any refunds processed will exclude these fees.
If there’s a disagreement between buyer and seller:
Either party may open a dispute from their Middlesman account.
Our dispute resolution team will review all submitted evidence (chats, proofs, invoices, etc.).
A decision will be made within a reasonable timeframe, and funds will be released to the appropriate party based on the outcome.
Once approved, refunds are typically processed within:
3–7 business days for card, wallet, or UPI payments.
7–14 business days for international payments (depending on the payment method and bank policies).
Middlesman reserves the right to cancel transactions or suspend accounts if fraudulent, suspicious, or non-compliant activity is detected. In such cases:
Funds may be refunded to the buyer after verification.
Associated accounts may face restrictions or termination.
